Job summary

Coveris Gainsborough is seeking a Laminator to join our Film division in a busy manufacturing environment. You will operate lamination machinery safely and efficiently, producing high-quality packaging films for UK brands.

We welcome candidates with lamination experience or a motivated learner ready to develop their skills. The role offers permanent employment, training, and a supportive team focused on quality, innovation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Experience operating lamination machinery or willingness to learn.
  • Knowledge of coating processes (solvent-free, solvent-based, or anti-mist).
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
  • Reliable with good attendance and timekeeping.

Responsibilities

  • Operate lamination machinery in line with production plans and training provided.
  • Process film substrates including barrier films and PET.
  • Set up and monitor machine parameters (coat weights, pressures, temperatures, speeds).
  • Mix adhesives accurately and to correct ratios.
  • Record production information on company systems.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and 5S practices.
  • Follow health, safety, quality and hygiene procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives.

Laminator

At Coveris Gainsborough, we manufacture high-quality flexible packaging solutions for some of the UK's leading brands. We're looking for a Laminator to join our Film division and play a key role in producing innovative packaging products within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with lamination experience or a motivated individual looking to develop their skills within a supportive and established team.

As a Laminator, you'll be responsible for operating lamination machinery safely and efficiently while ensuring products meet our high quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Operating lamination machinery in line with production plans and training provided
  • Processing a range of film substrates, including barrier films and PET
  • Setting up and monitoring machine parameters, including coat weights, pressures, temperatures and speeds
  • Mixing adhesives accurately and to the correct ratios
  • Carrying out quality checks and reporting any issues promptly
  • Accurately recording production information on company systems
  • Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and 5S practices
  • Following all health, safety, quality and hygiene procedures
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the department

  • Have experience operating lamination machinery within a flexible packaging environment (desirable)
  • Have knowledge of solvent-free, solvent-based or anti-mist coating processes
  • Are quality focused with excellent attention to detail
  • Can work independently and solve problems effectively

  • Demonstrate reliability with strong attendance and timekeeping
