Job summary

Owen Daniels, based in Gloucester, is seeking a Composite Assembly Fitter to join a rapidly growing advanced manufacturing business at the forefront of composite technology. You will assemble, bond and finish high-performance components for aerospace, defence, automotive and space sectors.

Qualifications

3 years' experience in fitting/assembly/manufacturing.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Experience using hand tools, power tools and precision measuring equipment.
Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Experience working with composite materials.
Knowledge of structural adhesive bonding processes.
Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience.

Responsibilities

Carry out controlled structural adhesive bonding processes with surface prep and curing.
Assemble composite components in line with drawings and manufacturing instructions.
Perform fettling and finishing using approved tools and equipment.
Inspect and maintain jigs, fixtures and tooling per procedures.
Complete production documentation and job bookings accurately.
Identify and report assembly, tooling or component issues.
Follow Health & Safety and COSHH requirements.
Maintain high standards of quality and housekeeping.
