Job summary

Owen Daniels is seeking a skilled Composite Fitter for a full-time, permanent position in the UK. You will join a rapidly growing advanced manufacturing business at the forefront of composite technology, supporting aerospace, defence, automotive and space sectors.

Responsibilities include bonding, assembly and finishing of high-performance composite components to meet strict quality standards. You will read engineering drawings, work with hand and power tools, perform fettling and finishing, and

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in fitting/assembly/manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools and precision measuring equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out controlled structural adhesive bonding processes per instructions.
• Assemble composite components following drawings, CAD data and manufacturing instructions.
• Perform fettling and finishing with approved tools and equipment.
• Inspect and maintain jigs, fixtures and tooling per procedures.
• Complete production documentation and job bookings accurately.
• Identify and report assembly, tooling or component issues.
• Follow Health & Safety and COSHH requirements.
• Maintain high standards of quality and housekeeping.
