Job summary

Owen Daniels is seeking a Composite Assembly Fitter for our Gloucester-based facility to join a growing advanced manufacturing business at the forefront of composite technology. You will assemble, bond and finish high-performance components in line with engineering drawings and manufacturing instructions.

The role requires hands-on experience with bonding processes, reading drawings, and using hand and precision tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience within a fitting, assembly or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools and precision measuring equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out controlled structural adhesive bonding processes, including surface preparation, adhesive application, curing and validation.
• Assemble composite components in line with engineering drawings, CAD data and manufacturing instructions.
• Perform fettling and finishing activities using approved tools and equipment.
• Inspect and maintain jigs, fixtures and tooling in accordance with company procedures.
• Complete production documentation and job bookings accurately.
• Identify and report assembly, tooling or component issues.
• Follow all Health & Safety and COSHH requirements.
• Maintain excellent standards of quality and housekeeping.

As a Composite Assembly Fitter, you will be responsible for the assembly, bonding and finishing of high-performance composite components, ensuring products are manufactured to the highest quality standards and delivered in line with customer requirements.
