Job summary

iCOMAT is seeking a skilled Fitter to join our expanding manufacturing team. You will perform controlled adhesive bonding, assemble composite components to drawings/CAD, and support calibration and tooling checks across UK sites.

Ideal candidates have minimum 3 years of fitter experience in manufacturing, vocational training in mechanical fitting, and a proven commitment to precision, safety and teamwork. We offer a competitive salary, private healthcare and stock options as we scale globally.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Fitter in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Vocational training or certification in mechanical fitting, engineering, or a related field.
Proficient in the use of hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.
High level of precision and attention to detail in fitting and assembly tasks.
Ability to work collaboratively with a team and communicate effectively across departments.
Strong commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

Carry out adhesive bonding with surface prep, application, curing, and validation.
Assemble composite components per drawings, CAD or MoM with proper fixturing.
Perform fettling as required using approved equipment.
Check and maintain jigs and fixtures per Tooling Documents with calibration.
Follow Health & Safety rules and read COSHH documents before materials.
Maintain job documentation and bookings.
Report assembly issues to Line Manager.
