Job summary

Greenacre Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Compliance Manager to lead day-to-day statutory compliance across a residential property portfolio. The role involves managing gas, electrical, fire safety, asbestos, water hygiene and lift safety programmes, and coordinating with contractors and internal teams.

You will monitor inspections, certification, reporting and audits, maintain accurate records, and drive service improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience managing compliance services within housing, property management or a similarly regulated environment.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
• NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent Health & Safety qualification is desirable and advantageous.

Responsibilities

Compliance Manager

Salary: £45,000 per annum

Permanent Role Hybrid Working

The Role

We are seeking a Compliance Manager to lead the day-to-day delivery of statutory compliance services across a residential property portfolio. Working closely with contractors, operational teams and senior stakeholders, you will ensure compliance programmes are effectively managed, monitored and delivered in line with legislative and regulatory requirements.

This role offers responsibility across key compliance areas including gas, electrical, fire safety, asbestos, water hygiene and lift safety, alongside contractor management, compliance reporting and service improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage statutory compliance programmes and ensure all inspections, servicing, certification and remedial works are completed on time.
• Oversee contractor performance, monitoring KPIs, service standards and value for money.
• Ensure compliance records, certification and data remain accurate, robust and audit-ready.
• Produce compliance reports, monitor risks and support audits, inspections and assurance reviews.
• Work collaboratively with housing, repairs, asset management and building safety teams to deliver a high-quality service.

About You

• You will have experience managing compliance services within housing, property management or a similarly regulated environment, together with a strong understanding of landlord compliance responsibilities.
• You will be confident managing contractors, analysing performance data and driving service improvements, with excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

A relevant qualification in Compliance, Building Safety, Housing, Property or a related discipline is desirable, along with a NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent Health & Safety qualification. Professional membership of a relevant body would be advantageous.
