Job summary

Crawley Borough Council is seeking a Compliance Manager to lead a small team focused on building compliance across gas, electrical, water, fire, lifts and asbestos. You will ensure KPIs are sustained, provide assurance to tenants, and report through governance channels and to the Regulator of Social Housing.

You must meet the Conduct and Competency Standard, hold a relevant technical qualification, and be ready to start training if needed. A UK driving licence and DBS check are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing compliance functions and leading landlord compliance.
• Knowledge of Regulator for Social Housing Conduct and Competency Standard.
• Ability to liaise with principal contractors and stakeholders.
• Demonstrated leadership and staff management experience.
• Strong customer focus and engagement with scrutiny processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team across gas, electrics, water, fire, lifts and asbestos compliance.
• Maintain compliance policies and support audits to provide assurance.
• Produce governance reports and KCIs for internal and regulator use.
• Collaborate with Policy and Engagement teams and external partners.
