About the role

We are looking for an energetic, self-starting Senior Compliance Officer to join our UK team. The role involves engaging with all compliance areas in our growing, innovative fintech business.

You will assist with daily compliance functions, advise on regulatory and financial crime matters, and participate in projects to develop new products and offerings.

As part of a small but expanding team, you’ll actively participate in all business aspects and develop into an SME owning multiple compliance areas.

What you’ll do

• Regulatory & Compliance Reporting
• Prepare and submit regulatory reports per FCA and other regulations
• Conduct ARM reporting checks
• Produce compliance reports and MI packs for management and boards
• Conduct horizon scanning for regulatory changes and assess impacts

• Monitoring & Assurance
• Maintain the Compliance Monitoring Plan
• Perform compliance monitoring and assurance reviews
• Investigate alerts and issues as they arise

• Governance & Controls
• Support policy reviews to ensure regulatory compliance
• Track and resolve incidents and breaches
• Support GDPR compliance and data protection queries as a DPO Assistant
• Conduct PEP & sanctions screening, review alerts, and clear them

• Marketing, Conduct & Complaints
• Review and approve financial promotions
• Assist with complaints handling, documentation, resolution, and root cause analysis

What you will need

• 3+ years of compliance experience within financial services
• Experience with regulatory reporting and monitoring
• Knowledge of AML/KYC and data protection principles
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities
