About the role
We seek an energetic, self-starting Senior Compliance Officer to join our UK team. The role involves engaging with all compliance areas in our growing fintech business.
You will assist with daily compliance tasks, advise on regulatory and financial crime issues, and participate in projects related to new product development.
As a small team, you will be involved in various aspects of the business and develop expertise across multiple compliance domains.
What you’ll do
Regulatory & Compliance Reporting
- Prepare and submit reports in accordance with FCA and other regulations
- Perform ARM reporting checks
- Generate compliance reports and management information for senior leadership
- Conduct horizon scanning for emerging regulatory changes
Monitoring & Assurance
- Maintain the compliance monitoring schedule
- Carry out compliance reviews and assurance checks
- Investigate alerts and issues as they occur
Governance & Controls
- Support policy reviews to ensure regulatory alignment
- Track and resolve incidents and breaches
- Assist with GDPR compliance and data protection queries as a DPO Assistant
- Perform PEP and sanctions screening
Marketing, Conduct & Complaints
- Review and approve financial promotions
- Support complaints handling and root cause analysis
What you will need
- Over 3 years of compliance experience in financial services
- Knowledge of regulatory reporting and monitoring
- Experience with AML/KYC and data protection
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
