About the role

We seek an energetic, self-starting Senior Compliance Officer to join our UK team. The role involves engaging with all compliance areas in a growing fintech environment, supporting daily compliance functions, advising on regulatory and financial crime matters, and participating in project groups for new product development. As part of a small, expanding team, you'll develop into an SME overseeing multiple compliance areas.

What you’ll do

1. Regulatory & Compliance Reporting
   • Prepare and submit regulatory reports per FCA and other requirements
   • Conduct ARM reporting checks
   • Generate compliance reports and MI packs for management and boards
   • Perform horizon scanning for regulatory changes and assess impacts
2. Monitoring & Assurance
   • Maintain the Compliance Monitoring Plan
   • Carry out compliance monitoring and second-line assurance reviews
   • Investigate ad-hoc alerts and issues as they arise
3. Governance & Controls
   • Support policy reviews to ensure regulatory alignment
   • Track and resolve incidents and breaches
   • Assist as a DPO Assistant with GDPR and data protection queries
   • Conduct PEP and sanctions screening, including alert review
4. Marketing, Conduct & Complaints
   • Review and approve financial promotions
   • Assist with complaints handling, documentation, and root cause analysis

What you will need

• At least 3 years of compliance experience in financial services
• Experience with regulatory reporting and monitoring
• Knowledge of AML/KYC and data protection principles
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively
