About the role

We seek an energetic, self-starting Senior Compliance Officer to join our UK team. The role involves engaging with all compliance areas within our growing, innovative fintech business.

You will support daily compliance functions, advise on regulatory and financial crime issues, and participate in projects developing new products and services.

As part of a small but expanding team, you will actively participate across the business and develop expertise in multiple compliance areas.

What you’ll do

Regulatory & Compliance Reporting

• Prepare and submit regulatory reports per FCA and other requirements
• Perform ARM reporting checks
• Create compliance reports and MI packs for management and boards
• Conduct horizon scanning for regulatory changes and assess impacts

Monitoring & Assurance

• Maintain the Compliance Monitoring Plan
• Carry out compliance monitoring and assurance reviews
• Respond to alerts and investigate issues as needed

Governance & Controls

• Support policy reviews to ensure regulatory alignment
• Track and resolve incidents and breaches
• Assist with GDPR compliance and data protection queries as a DPO Assistant
• Perform PEP & sanctions screening, review alerts, and clear them

Marketing, Conduct & Complaints

• Review and approve financial promotions according to standards
• Help handle complaints with proper documentation and root cause analysis

What you will need

• Over 3 years of compliance experience in financial services
• Experience with regulatory reporting and monitoring
• Knowledge of AML/KYC and data protection principles
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities
