Compliance Administrator/Coordinator
Location: Stockton-on-Tees
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000
Hours: 08:00 – 16:30 Monday – Friday
Type: Full Time, Permanent
We are currently recruiting for a Compliance Administrator/Coordinator to work for an award-winning scaffolding and safety systems business based in Stockton on Tees.
Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and lead external audits for awarding bodies such as ISO, RISQS, Constructionline, IRATA, CHAS, FASET.
- Complete tender packs and pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQs), ensuring all information is accurate and up to date.
- Develop, improve, and implement the HSEQ Management System to comply with legislative requirements and applicable external standards.
- Review and update policies, procedures, registers, and forms regularly to ensure they are current, understood, and monitored across the business.
- Implement and manage document control for the HSEQ and business management system.
- Produce analytical data from company systems to present in monthly HSEQ meetings.
- Conduct in-depth internal audits, create internal auditing schedules, and ensure robust policy evaluation.
- Maintain and update SSIP portals, ensuring no accreditations lapse or expire.
- Manage the business's internal HSEQ legal register, ensuring ease of access and clarity.
- Provide administrative support to the HSEQ team.
- Manage employee training records and arrange external training (e.g., first aid, rescue, supervision, management courses).
- Perform data entry, documentation, printing, and filing tasks.
- Ensure computerised HSEQ systems and registers are accurate and frequently updated.
- Monitor subcontractor/supplier databases and correspond as necessary.
- Create HSEQ dashboards, including trend analysis for accidents, incidents, near misses, and other KPIs.
- Develop and implement quarterly HSEQ themes and campaigns.
- Prepare presentations and act as the primary contact for HSEQ compliance within the business.
- Take minutes during meetings and create detailed action plans.
- Send out weekly/monthly HSEQ packs to the operations team.
- Monitor the HSEQ mailbox and appropriately file necessary items.
- Manage the development of a user-friendly HSEQ management file structure.
- Coordinate and assist with the preparation of HSEQ training sessions.
- Oversee the documentation and resolution of all accidents, incidents, and near-miss cases, ensuring accurate records and prompt follow-up.
- Administer the business Harness Inspection register, ensuring statutory compliance by verifying inspections and recording relevant information.
- Monitor and manage all operational HSEQ KPIs, issuing regular reminders to ensure timely updates and completion.
Qualifications
- IOSH Qualification
- Lead Auditor Qualification (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001)
- Experience in the Construction / Scaffolding / Industrial sectors
