Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment Ltd in Offerton, Stockport, is seeking a dedicated Complex Needs Learning Support Assistant for a specialist primary SEN school. You will provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils aged 4-11 with complex needs, autism, and sensory challenges, helping them access tailored learning and thrive.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEND, complex needs or autism.
• Patient, resilient and enthusiastic about making a difference.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils with communication/sensory challenges.
• Experience in education, care, support work, health and social care, psychology, or related field.
• Comfort with supporting pupils with personal care needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with complex SEND needs.
• Assist with communication strategies, sensory activities, and personalised learning programmes.
• Support pupils with personal care where required.
• Promote engagement, independence, and positive behaviour.

Tradeswind Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a specialist primary SEN school in Offerton, Stockport, seeking a dedicated and compassionate Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to support pupils aged 4-11 with a range of additional needs.

This welcoming and well-resourced school supports children with complex learning difficulties, autism, sensory needs, communication difficulties, and medical needs.

The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers and therapists to provide tailored support that enables every child to thrive both academically and socially.

The Role

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with complex SEND needs
• Assist with communication strategies, sensory activities, and personalised learning programmes
• Support pupils with personal care where required
• Promote engagement, independence, and positive behaviour

The Ideal Candidate

• Has experience supporting children or young people with SEND, complex needs, or autism
