Job summary

RTC Resources Ltd is recruiting a Support Worker for a specialist care provider in Nottingham to support individuals with complex needs. You will work as part of a coordinated team providing 3:1, 4:1 or 5:1 support, promoting dignity, independence and meaningful participation in daily life while following care plans and safeguarding procedures.

UK care experience is essential and the right to work in the UK is required. Sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Previous UK experience supporting people with complex needs and behaviours that challenge.
• Experience of 3:1, 4:1 or 5:1 staffing, or comparable intensive support services.
• Practical experience managing behavioural escalation and physical aggression.
• Strong communication, teamwork and safeguarding awareness.
• The ability to follow agreed strategies consistently and maintain professional boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Promote dignity, independence and meaningful participation in everyday life.
• Follow individual care plans, risk assessments and behavioural support plans.
• Recognise signs of distress and use de-escalation strategies.
• Support personal care, meals, medication, daily living and community activities as required.
• Maintain clear records and elevate safeguarding concerns or changes in presentation.
• Work closely with colleagues, families and other professionals.
• Prioritise least restrictive approaches and undertake physical interventions only within authorised arrangements and current training.
