Job summary

DK Recruitment is seeking a Complex Needs Specialist (Support Worker) for a 40-hour-per-week role in the West Midlands, focused on residents experiencing homelessness and multiple disadvantages. You will use person-centred, trauma-informed approaches to help residents gain independent living skills and improve housing outcomes.

The role involves building positive relationships, conducting risk assessments, supporting tenancy management, budgeting, and delivering group work to promote wellbeing

Qualifications

• Significant experience supporting vulnerable individuals or families experiencing homelessness.
• Experience in supported housing or accommodation-based services.
• Understanding of mental health and substance misuse challenges.

Responsibilities

• Develop positive relationships with residents using strengths-based approaches.
• Complete and maintain individual support plans, risk assessments, and outcomes.
• Identify barriers to independence and help residents set realistic goals.
• Deliver individual and group support on independent living and wellbeing.
• Support referrals, assessments and accommodation entry processes.
• Help residents understand tenancy agreements and budgeting.
