Job summary

Veritas Education in Hounslow is seeking a Complex Needs SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school supporting pupils with complex learning, physical and communication needs.

You will work 1:1 and in small groups, build strong relationships, and help learners on individual targets. DBS clearance is essential, with collaboration across teachers, therapists and support staff to foster a safe, nurturing learning environment.

Qualifications

• Strong and recent experience supporting children or young people with complex needs.
• Calm, patient and highly resilient approach.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills in a multidisciplinary setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small‑group support to pupils with complex needs.
• Support pupils inside and outside the classroom and help them reach targets.
• Build positive, trusting relationships and monitor progress and wellbeing.
• Follow EHCPs, care and support plans and work with teachers, therapists and nurses.
