Academics is helping a specialist school in Tilehurst recruit a Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to start ASAP. The role focuses on 1:1 and small group support for pupils with complex needs, including ASD and communication challenges.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Providing dedicated 1:1 and small group support to pupils with complex needs
• Supporting pupils with learning difficulties, ASD and communication needs
• Helping children develop their independence, confidence and social skills
• Supporting pupils to participate fully in lessons and school activities
• Using a calm and consistent approach to help pupils manage their emotions and behaviour
• Working closely with teachers and other members of the school's support team
