Job description

Waythrough launched in October 2024 following the merger of Humankind and Richmond Fellowship. Our vision is to break down the barriers that stop people from getting the support they need to live a life they value. We address poverty and disadvantage in communities through mental health, drug and alcohol, housing, and related support services.

We have nearly 200 services across England, supported by almost 3,500 staff and volunteers. Annually, our services assist around 125,000 individuals.

Integrating two large organizations is a complex process, which is why current job branding remains under 'Humankind'. Full system integration is planned for next year.

Complex Needs Worker, Full Time, Permanent

Location: 40 Bromley Road, London, N17 0AR, and the Youth Justice Centre.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week.

The post holder will be part of the Insight Platform within the Young People's Service, working with young people experiencing alcohol-related issues, mental health challenges, and complex needs such as substance misuse, psychological issues, anti-social behavior, or self-harm. Responsibilities include improving access to treatment services and providing interventions like 1:1 support and group work.

We seek a creative individual with a proactive approach, capable of leading and nurturing a dynamic team committed to delivering high-quality services. The candidate should be adept at working collaboratively with professional partnerships and have experience managing teams working with clients with substance misuse issues or complex needs in similar settings, including NHS environments.

We are dedicated to fairness and ensuring everyone can access support. By joining us, you contribute to empowering service users to make positive changes.

Ideally, you will have:
  • Experience handling complex cases involving young people.
  • Knowledge of the criminal justice sector.
