Job description

We're offering an exciting opportunity for a support worker to work alongside our client with complex needs in Caldicot, Monmouthshire. You'll be supporting a lady in her 20s who due to a brain injury has complex clinical needs, including cerebral palsy, epilepsy, learning difficulties and quadriplegia. Your role will be to support her physically and emotionally, helping her live life to the fullest.

Main duties of the job

As a support worker, you will assist with personalised routines, including use of hoists, support with daily living activities such as personal hygiene and mobility, administer medication and monitor health conditions, provide emotional support and companionship, maintain accurate care records and report any changes, and collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members.

Job information

Pay: £16.35 per hour weekdays, £16.96 per hour Saturdays & £16.85 per hour Sundays. Waking Nights – £16.35/17.60 per hour. Hours: Bank (covering a mixture of days and waking nights. Days: 09:30 – 17:30, Nights: 21:00 – 09:00)

About the Role

You’ll be supporting a lady in her 20s who due to a brain injury has complex clinical needs, including cerebral palsy, epilepsy, learning difficulties and quadriplegia. She lives in a purpose built bungalow that includes a sensory room and a hydrotherapy pool. She enjoys music, singing, arts & crafts, cooking, baking and sensory activities. Your role will be to support her physically and emotionally, helping her live life to the fullest.
