Advantage Healthcare is seeking caring individuals to support a young boy in the Luton area with overnight care, 2-3 nights per week. You will follow a detailed care plan and work within a supportive team under supervision by a registered nurse.

Ideal candidates will have experience in complex care, PEG and suctioning, and moving/handling equipment. A driver is preferred to meet location needs. DBS, training, and progression opportunities are provided.

Qualificações

• Experience in a complex care setting is advantageous.
• Experience with PEG/gastronomy care.
• Experience with suctioning.
• Experience with moving & handling equipment (hoists).
• Own transport is preferred due to location.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver overnight care in line with the individual care plan.
• Work as part of a special care team to support the client to reach full potential.
• Attend regular supervisions and team meetings; seek guidance from a registered nurse as needed.

Job Description

What you’ll do

Be a part of a special care team delivering care to our client who is a delightful child to support him to reach his full potential.

We are currently looking for caring individuals to support a young boy in the Luton area, we are looking for someone to do 2-3 nights per week.

The client has a multitude of complex clinical needs where you will deliver overnight care in line with the care plan which includes:

• Gastrostomy care
• Oral suctioning
• Saturation Monitoring
• Specialist Moving & Handling (Hoist)

You will be supported by Advantage Healthcare Colchester branch and invited to attend regular supervisions and team meetings. A registered nurse will ensure you are competent in our client’s care needs and support with any clinical concerns and queries you may have.

Qualifications

What you’ll need

Experience in the following would make your application more advantageous:

• Experience working in a complex care setting.
• Experience with PEG feeds / Gastronomy care.
• Experience with suctioning.
• Moving & Handling Equipment, in particular hoists.
• You will need to be a car driver due to the location.
