A leading global insurance firm is seeking an experienced Compensation Manager to build and lead the Compensation & Benefits function. This standalone role involves significant stakeholder engagement and requires deep expertise in Workday Compensation, with a focus on both compensation and benefits management.
Role Overview
My client are seeking an experienced Compensation Manager (with a view of benefits) to join a rapidly scaling, global insurance firm. This is a standalone role reporting into the international Head of HR and working closely with stakeholders across the UK, US, and international markets.
You will be responsible for leading and building the Compensation & Benefits function, with a focus on Compensation (80%) and vendor management for Benefits (20%). A deep working knowledge of Workday Compensation is essential.

Salary & Benefits
* Base salary: £90,000
* Bonus: 15%-20%
* Pension: 10% employer contribution (+ matching)

Key Responsibilities
* Lead Compensation projects and policies across international markets
* Design and implement the global Job Architecture framework
* Own and manage gender pay gap reporting
* Set up and run compensation cycle processes (short- and long-term incentives)
* Develop and evolve the Compensation philosophy
* Partner with international HR teams (India, US, Europe)
* Manage stakeholder expectations with minimal structure – thrive in ambiguity
* Set the foundation for growing a team as the company scales further
Must-Have Skills & Experience
* Workday: Strong admin capability with deep expertise in Compensation module
* Compensation leadership experience in high-growth, international environments
* Strong stakeholder engagement – able to operate independently
* Experience working with vendors for Benefits management
* Insurance background is a plus but if not Financial services would be great
