Job summary

Job Description

My client is seeking an experienced Compensation Manager (with a focus on benefits) to join a rapidly scaling, global insurance firm. This is a standalone role reporting to the international Head of HR (Vicky) and collaborating closely with stakeholders across the UK, US, and international markets.

You will lead and develop the Compensation & Benefits function, primarily focusing on Compensation (80%) and vendor management for Benefits (20%). Deep knowledge of Workday Compensation is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Compensation projects and policies across international markets
  • Design and implement the global Job Architecture framework
  • Manage gender pay gap reporting
  • Set up and run compensation cycle processes (short- and long-term incentives)
  • Develop and refine the Compensation philosophy
  • Partner with international HR teams (India, US, Europe)
  • Manage stakeholder expectations with minimal structure - thrive in ambiguity
  • Lay the groundwork for building a team as the company grows
Must-Have Skills & Experience
  • Strong admin capabilities in Workday Compensation module
  • Leadership experience in high-growth, international environments
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills - ability to operate independently
  • Experience with vendor management for Benefits
  • Insurance background is a plus, but experience in Financial Services is also valuable
