Animal Trust in Wrexham is seeking an experienced veterinary receptionist to join a busy practice. You will assist with appointments, diary management and payments while supporting clinical staff to deliver compassionate care to pets and clients.

With 35 hours per week across shifts from 08:30 to 19:00, you will work as part of a small team, including some weekend work (1 in 4 Saturdays). The role requires empathy and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Competenze

• Experience of working on a medical or veterinary reception.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Empathy, understanding and effective communication with clients.

Mansioni

• Welcoming clients and their pets for appointments with a compassionate, professional attitude.
• Answering telephone calls and queries from clients.
• Handling medication prepared by the veterinary surgeon and handing to clients.
• Maintaining reception, waiting area and consulting rooms to high standards of cleanliness.
• Taking payments, registering new clients and addressing client concerns.
• Organisation and restocking of the practice where required.
• Complying with health and safety procedures.
• Complying with data protection legislation to ensure confidentiality.
