Job summary

Dimensions is seeking a compassionate Support Worker in Lincoln to provide care for Ben, an older gentleman with dementia. You will support daily living, meals, medication, and mobility, while encouraging activity and social engagement in the community.

The role offers 21.75 hours per week at £13.45 per hour plus £50 per sleep-in, with a stable 4‑week rotating shift pattern. No prior experience required; training provided. Apply in Lincoln, LN3.

Qualifications

• Patient, calm, and reassuring, especially during periods of anxiety.
• Clear and confident communicator, able to offer gentle guidance.
• Interested in conversation about local history, music, or aircraft (or happy to learn!).
• Reliable and values-led, with a genuine commitment to great support.
• You don’t need previous experience as a Support Worker.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living tasks including personal care, medication, eating and drinking, and keeping the home clean.
• Encourage healthy choices and help with menu planning.
• Support Ben to remain active in his community and maintain routines.
• Work as part of a 4-week rolling rota with varied shifts and regular days off.
