Qualifications

• Reliable and professional approach to work.
• Caring, enthusiastic, and positive attitude with a genuine passion for residents’ wellbeing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to build relationships with residents, families and colleagues.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team while using initiative when required.
• Compassionate, patient and person-centred approach to care.
• Experience supporting people with mental health conditions and/or dementia is desirable but not essential; full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centred care and emotional support to residents living with dementia and nursing care needs.
• Encourage residents to maintain independence while respecting choices, preferences and dignity.
• Support residents with personal care, daily living activities, and meaningful social engagement.
• Reinforce and encourage life skills, promoting confidence and wellbeing.
• Become a Key Worker for designated residents to plan, coordinate and review personalised care.
• Develop positive relationships with families, healthcare professionals and other care providers.
