Job summary

Axcis Education Recruitment is seeking a compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant for a specialist school in Newbury. You will provide tailored one-to-one support to pupils with diverse needs inside and outside the classroom, helping with learning, social development and independence.

The role is full-time, Monday to Friday (8:30am–3:30pm) with a daily rate of £92.63. Experience with autism or complex needs is advantageous, and a willingness to learn is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Experience in a SEND setting, particularly with autism or complex needs, is advantageous.
• Candidates with a passion for working with children and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored one-to-one support inside and outside the classroom.
• Help pupils access learning, support emotional and social development, and encourage independence.
• It may be necessary to provide personal care as part of the school day.
