Job summary

Axcis Education Recruitment is seeking an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant for an all-age special school in Slough from 5 October. This full-time role runs Monday to Friday with a daily rate of £92.63, supporting pupils with complex needs across ages and abilities.

You will work with teaching staff to help pupils access learning, develop communication and independence, manage sensory or behavioural needs, and participate in a range of activities in a safe, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Personal care experience is essential for this position.
• Experience in SEND settings is desirable, particularly with PMLD/SLD/ASD/ADHD/SEMH.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support in the classroom and throughout the school day.
• Help pupils access learning and develop communication and independence.
• Manage sensory or behavioural needs and participate in a range of activities.
• Build positive relationships and create a safe, calm, inclusive environment.
