Job summary

Axcis Education Recruitment in Uxbridge is seeking a compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to support students with needs including ASD and learning difficulties. The role is full-time, 8:30 am–4:00 pm, with PAYE salary of £14.25 per hour.

You will assist with academic and personal development in a safe, inclusive environment. Applicants should have Enhanced DBS or be willing to apply; strong communication, patience and empathy are essential to thrive in a dynamic school setting.

Qualifications

• DBS (Enhanced Child and Adult) or willingness to apply for one.
• Excellent communication with students and staff.
• Patience, empathy and genuine passion for supporting students' development.
• Flexible and adaptable in a dynamic school environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 or small group support to students with SEND in classroom and care settings.
• Assist with personal care tasks, including manual handling and peg feeding.
• Support students with challenging behaviours and help maintain a positive, structured environment.
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff to support learning and wellbeing.
