The school supports children and young people with a range of additional needs, including pupils with autism, and is looking for someone who is committed to helping every child reach their potential. Working as part of a dedicated school team, you will provide tailored one-to-one support both inside and outside the classroom. Your role will involve helping pupils access their learning, supporting their emotional and social development and encouraging independence and confidence. There may also be occasions where you are required to provide personal care, so a willingness to support pupils with all aspects of their school day is essential. This role would suit someone who is naturally patient, calm and nurturing, with the ability to build trusting relationships with children who may require additional support. Experience within a SEND setting, particularly with autism or complex needs, would be advantageous, although candidates with a strong passion for working with children and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply. The school is based in Newbury and is accessible by public transport, although driving may be beneficial depending on where you are travelling from.
