Job summary

Career Teachers is recruiting a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in Romford. You will support students with additional needs on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties.

The ideal candidate will have SEND experience, a calm, patient, nurturing approach, and excellent communication and relationship-building skills. A DBS via the Update Service is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND.
• Calm, patient and nurturing approach.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Passion for supporting students to achieve their potential.
• DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Support students 1:1 or in small groups with a range of needs including Autism, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties.
