Job summary

Create Education in Romford is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant for a full-time, ongoing role at a welcoming primary school in Romford, RM3. The position offers an immediate start following a successful trial day, with hours 8:30am–3:30pm and daily pay of £100–£110.

You will work closely with the class teacher to provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEN, help them access the curriculum, build confidence and social skills, and follow individual plans.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with SEN in a primary school setting.
• Ability to follow individual learning plans and adapt to needs.
• Caring, patient and nurturing approach to children's development.
• Strong safeguarding awareness and commitment to child safety.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEN.
• Supporting children to access the curriculum and engage with learning.
• Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and social skills.
• Following individual support and learning plans.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting social-emotional skills.
• Working with teachers and the school team.
• Creating a calm, positive, safe environment in and out of class.
