Job summary

A care services provider is looking for a Care Assistant to provide support to clients in residential care. Qualifications

• Experience in caring for elderly persons.
• Working in a residential setting.
• Ability to promote and participate in recreational activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as washing and dressing.
• Motivate clients and maintain communication with families.
• Contribute to the establishment records including support plans.

Skills

Experience or ability in care tasks

Ability to work without close supervision

Knowledge of First Aid

Ability to work as part of a team

Awareness of Health and Safety requirements

Ability to liaise with healthcare professionals

Education

City & Guilds in practical or home nursing

NVQ Level 2 in Direct Care

In-service course in Social Care

Preliminary course in Social Care
