This role focuses on practical care rather than classroom teaching, with duties including nappy changes, promoting independence, and working closely with Early Years and Key Stage 1 staff under Individual Care Plans. Commitment to safeguarding is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with young children and/or children with additional needs is desirable.
• A good understanding of child development and a calm, compassionate approach is essential.

Responsibilities

• Supporting children with intimate and personal care needs, including nappy changing
• Promoting children’s dignity, independence and wellbeing
• Working with children across Early Years and Key Stage 1 with Social and Communication needs
• Following individual care plans, health and safety procedures, and safeguarding guidance
• Liaising effectively with staff and contributing to a supportive team environment
