The Dales School is seeking a Personal Care Assistant to join our Ashington-based team immediately. You will provide personal and intimate care, supporting children with additional needs while upholding dignity, safety and wellbeing.
This role focuses on practical care rather than classroom teaching, with duties including nappy changes, promoting independence, and working closely with Early Years and Key Stage 1 staff under Individual Care Plans. Commitment to safeguarding is essential.
As our school continues to grow, we are looking to appoint a caring, reliable and committed Personal Care Assistant to join our Ashdale (Ashington) team as soon as possible.
The successful candidate will provide personal and intimate care, including nappy changing, for a range of children with additional needs. This role is not classroom based; however, you will work closely with teaching and support staff to ensure children’s dignity, comfort, wellbeing and safety are maintained at all times.
Experience of working with young children and/or children with additional needs is desirable. A good understanding of child development and a calm, compassionate approach is essential.
