Job summary

Becker School in Batley, West Yorkshire, part of Polaris Education, seeks a SEND Personal Care Assistant to support pupils with ASC/SEMH needs aged 5-13. You will assist with personal care, daily activities and inclusive classroom participation, under supervision. An enhanced DBS check will be required.

Qualifications

• General education with proven numeracy and literacy.
• Experience with children in learning or nursery setting.
• Awareness of safeguarding and child protection practices.
• NVQ Level 2 or above preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with personal care programmes during the school day.
• Assist with daily activities such as washing, dressing, toileting.
• Maintain records relating to personal care with the class teacher.
• Liaise with parents and carers to ensure continuity of care.
• Promote inclusion and positive interaction in activities.
