Job summary

Protocol Education Ltd. is seeking compassionate SEND Teaching Assistants to support children with complex needs across Sheffield, Rotherham and Barnsley. The role involves personal care, moving and handling, and contributing to a nurturing classroom environment.

You'll work with schools to provide tailored support, helping pupils stay engaged and reach their potential. Roles available across full-time and part-time schedules, with immediate and September starts.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with complex needs
• Confident providing personal care and moving and handling
• Patient, caring and able to build positive relationships
• Works well as part of a team
• Genuine passion for supporting SEND pupils

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with complex learning needs and autism, PMLD and other disabilities
• Assist with personal care ensuring dignity and respect at all times
• Use moving and handling techniques safely and confidently
• Encourage communication, independence and emotional wellbeing
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists and other professionals to create a positive learning environment
• Help pupils participate in classroom activities and celebrate achievements
