Job summary

Elizabeth Courtauld Surgery in Halstead is seeking a part-time patient navigator to join the reception team. Shifts run between 8:00am and 6:30pm, Monday to Friday, across Elizabeth Courtauld Surgery and Halstead Heights Clinic.

Roles include answering calls, handling messages, registering patients, processing prescriptions, and arranging appointments. The ideal candidate will have patient-facing experience, strong communication, and IT/admin skills, with a calm, confidential approach and team

Responsibilities

• Answering telephone calls in a timely and appropriate manner.
• Provide reception-administrative support with our online triage system.
• Ensure visitors sign in and receive a badge.
• Deliver messages and transfer calls to doctors, nurses, and admin staff.
• Handle patient or outside agency queries and assist in finding solutions.
• Receive prescription requests and direct to the prescription team.
• Take payments for private fees and process card payments.
• Assist in the smooth running of clinics.
• Receive and record home visit requests.
• Highlight patients requiring immediate attention to clinicians.
• Make new and follow-up appointments.
• Carry out other administrative duties as deemed necessary.
