Park Medical Practice in Preston is seeking a reliable phlebotomist to join the team on a permanent part-time basis (25 hours per week). The role involves venepuncture across multiple GP practice locations within the Greater Preston Primary Care Network, with shifts arranged per service requirements.

You will obtain consent, perform blood collection, accurately label and record samples, and maintain clinical records while adhering to infection prevention procedures.

Competenze

• Completed phlebotomy/venepuncture training with practical competency.
• Widely understands infection prevention and control procedures.
• Excellent communication and patient-centric approach.
• Basic IT skills and accurate clinical records.
• Ability to travel reliably between GP practice locations.
• Willing to undertake mandatory training and maintain competencies.

Mansioni

• Carry out venepuncture and obtain patient consent.
• Label samples correctly and dispatch to labs.
• Record blood test data in the patient record accurately.
• Perform blood pressure measurements and notes in records.
• Maintain stock and ensure clinical areas are clean and prepared.
