Job summary

HC-One is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to deliver high-quality meals with kindness in dementia, nursing, residential and specialist care homes. You will assist with meal prep, serve meals with warmth, and help maintain kitchen hygiene while respecting residents’ dietary needs and preferences.

Candidates should have some kitchen experience and be willing to work towards an NVQ2 in Catering or Food Preparation.

Qualifications

• Some kitchen experience and a passion for helping others.
• Willingness to work towards NVQ2 in Catering or Food Preparation.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals with care.
• Follow recipes and record information accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.
• Monitor food storage temperatures and assist with stock rotation.
• Support new team members and ensure a tidy kitchen.
