Acton Care Centre in Acton is seeking a kitchen assistant to support meal preparation and service. You will help prepare produce for meals, clean and maintain kitchen areas, and ensure safety and proper storage of goods and cleaning materials to support a smooth daily operation.

The role requires attention to hygiene and safety standards, with duties including dishwashing and assisting with meal service in a busy care home environment.

Qualifications

• Assist with preparation of produce for meal service, including breakfast items and sandwiches.
• Maintain cleaning of kitchen areas according to schedules; must be organized.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety Regulations.
• Proper storage of dry and perishable goods after receipt.
• Safe storage of cleaning materials.
• Clean crockery, cutlery, and drinking vessels using the main kitchen dishwashing machine.
• Store pots, pans, and utensils after cleaning.
