Job summary

Cornerstone Healthcare Group is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join Kitnocks House and support four units with meal preparation for residents with complex health needs.

The role requires at least 6 months UK kitchen experience, a genuine interest in food, and a team-focused, detail-oriented approach plus strong communication skills with staff and residents. A stable rota supports work-life balance and opportunities to propose ideas to enhance resident life.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months UK experience of working in a kitchen environment.
• Interest in food preparation and kitchen work.
• Team-focused attitude with attention to detail.
• Friendly, approachable manner as part of a close-knit team.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn residents' needs and help improve life for them.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items and simple meals meeting dietary needs.
• Wash,-clean and maintain kitchen equipment to high standards.
• Uphold hygiene and food safety requirements.
• Assist with stock rotation and general kitchen organization.
• Comply with Health and Safety, COSHH and Fire procedures.
