Job summary

Bridge Oak Care Homes in Northwich are seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support the Cook in preparing nutritious meals for residents at Acorn Meadow.

You will help with meal service, respect residents’ dietary needs, and maintain high safety and hygiene standards in the kitchen.

This permanent, 30-hour-per-week role offers a friendly team, a caring environment and opportunities to contribute to positive daily life for residents.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a care setting is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Assist Cook with preparation of varied, nutritious meals.
• Help serve meals and accommodate specific dietary needs.
• Maintain HACCP, Health & Safety, COSHH compliance.
• Clean and tidy kitchen areas using approved products.
• Ensure kitchen equipment is safe and report faults.
• Receive, store and rotate stock to maintain freshness.
• Contribute to meetings and training to maintain a friendly environment.
