Job summary

ICare Group is seeking a Home Care Assistant (Driver Required) to support people in their own homes across the Birkenhead area. You will provide compassionate care, help with daily routines and stay responsive to individual needs while traveling between clients.

We offer training and ongoing support, a £13.45–£13.70 hourly rate, a £250 Welcome Bonus and other benefits. Full driving licence and access to your own vehicle are required.

Qualifications

• Hold a full UK driving licence.
• Have access to your own vehicle and be able to travel across the Birkenhead area.
• Willing to obtain business insurance if not already in place.

Responsibilities

• Providing personal care with dignity, respect and compassion
• Supporting with washing, dressing and daily routines
• Assisting with meal preparation and nutrition
• Providing medication prompts and support in line with care plans
• Carrying out wellbeing and safety checks
• Supporting with light household tasks and maintaining a comfortable home environment
• Offering companionship and emotional support
• Building positive and professional relationships with the people you support
• Promoting independence, choice and person-centred care
• Travelling between clients' homes across the local community
