Job summary

Lincolnshire Co-op is recruiting a Funeral Operative to help deliver compassionate care and professional support to families during funeral services. You will assist with removals, preparations, and services, including driving funeral vehicles and preparing equipment and vehicles to the highest standards.

The role emphasizes sensitivity, teamwork and the ability to stay calm in emotionally challenging situations, with opportunities for training and development and on-call duties as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, respectful care for those entrusted to us throughout every stage of the funeral journey.
• Support removals, preparations and funeral services with dignity and professionalism.
• Drive and care for funeral vehicles, ensuring safe, reliable transport.
• Prepare coffins, equipment and vehicles to high standards.
• Work closely with Funeral Directors, colleagues and external organisations to deliver seamless services.
