Job summary

Lincolnshire Co-op is recruiting a Funeral Operative to work behind the scenes and with Funeral Directors to ensure dignified, compassionate care for families at their time of need. The role involves supporting removals, preparations and services, plus driving and maintaining funeral vehicles.

You will join a team that values professionalism, discretion and a calm, respectful approach in emotionally challenging situations.

• Able to work as part of a close-knit team and also independently.

• Flexible attitude with on-call duties.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, respectful care for those entrusted to us at every stage of the funeral journey.
• Support removals, preparations and funeral services with dignity and attention to detail.
• Drive and care for our funeral vehicles, ensuring safe transport.
• Prepare coffins, equipment and vehicles to high standards.
• Work closely with Funeral Directors, colleagues and external organisations to deliver seamless services.
