Job summary

CTRG Limited in Woolwich is seeking a Funeral Care Centre Assistant to support logistics and care operations at the center. You will clean vehicles, prepare coffins, handle floral tributes, and assist with housekeeping and maintenance while following safety guidelines and company procedures.

Requirements include a full UK manual driving license and the ability to work in a compassionate, discreet, and professional manner.

Qualifications

• Full UK Manual Driving License is required.

Responsibilities

• Clean funeral vehicles daily, including polish and wax.
• Move ceremonial vehicles within Care Centre grounds (no road driving).
• Assist in housekeeping in public and private areas; report maintenance.
• Fully prepare all types of coffins.
• Handle floral tributes with care.
• Report to Care Logistics Management and follow instructions.
• Comply with Health & Safety requirements and checks.
• Work with colleagues to maintain high service standards.
• Maintain a professional, dignified manner and safe handling practices.

We have a fantastic opportunity for you to work with our client as a Funeral Care Centre Assistant in Woolwich, E18 5NS

Your pay rate and shifts as Care Centre Assistant:

Monday to Friday 10.00am to 16.00pm – £ 12.71 p/h

• CleanFuneralcare vehicles on aday-to-daybasisincluding polish & wax routine
• Move ceremonial vehicles within the Care Centre grounds (no public road driving)
• Assistin general housekeepingin both public andprivate areas, report any buildingandequipment maintenance to amanager.
• FullyPrepareall types ofcoffins.
• Handle floral tributes with care.
• Reportingto the Care LogisticsManagement teamand responding appropriately to instructions.
• Ensuringyou fullycomply withall Health and safety requirements and checks.

• Working with other colleagues to promote teamwork to ensure high standards of service delivery.
• Always maintaining a professional and dignified manner.
• Ensuring the use of appropriate equipment and approved manual handling techniques are complied with to eliminate the possibility of accident or injury.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

• Full UK Manual Driving License Required
• Being a team player, building and maintaining professional relationships.
• Basic literacy, numeracy and IT skills utilising all available technology, when required.
• Willingness to learn new skills and approach challenges.
• Ability to carry out heavy lifting and manual handling from strained positions.
