Job summary

OurCoop is seeking a compassionate funeral team member to be the first point of contact for families at bereavement scenes and in the funeral home. You will help with care and presentation of the deceased, including washing and dressing, maintaining dignity and respect at every step.

Role includes Standby and On-Call duties and a DBS check as of December 2023. A full UK manual driving licence is required, and you will work closely with a supportive team committed to compassionate service.

Qualifications

• Must show compassion and empathy for families in bereavement.
• Physical ability to lift and transfer the deceased.
• Full UK Manual driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for families at the scene of bereavement and in the funeral home.
• Care for and prepare the deceased, including washing and dressing with dignity and respect.
• Participate in Standby and On-Call rotas as part of duties.
