Job summary

Central England Co-operative Limited is seeking a funeral care professional to support families at the scene of bereavement, ensuring compassionate care and high standards of presentation for loved ones.

You will act as a first point of contact, assist with washing and dressing the deceased, and work within our funeral team with empathy and dignity. DBS checks apply for new joiners from December 2023, and standby/on-call duties are required.

Responsibilities

• Caring for families at the scene of bereavement and acting as the first point of contact.
• Prepare and present the deceased with dignity, including washing and dressing.
• Work as part of the funeral team with compassion and professionalism.
• Participate in a Standby and On-Call rota as part of your duties.
• Hold a full UK manual driving licence and be ready to assist with on-call shifts.
