Job summary

Central England Co-operative Limited is looking for compassionate team members to support families at bereavement scenes. You will help care for the deceased with dignity, and assist with preparation and presentation, while joining a standby/on-call rota and working closely with colleagues to maintain high professional standards.

You will be the first point of contact for families, provide sensitive support, and contribute to delivering a respectful, compassionate service across our funeral team.

Qualifications

• Physical ability to lift and transfer the deceased person.
• Full UK Manual driving licence (valid for manual and automatic vehicles).
• Willingness to participate in Standby and On-Call rota.

Responsibilities

• Be the families’ first point of contact at bereavement scenes.
• Prepare and present the deceased with dignity and respect.
• Care for preparation and presentation of the person who has passed away.
• Participate in Standby and On-Call rota as required.
• Work with colleagues as a supportive team to deliver professional service.
