Job summary

OurCoop invites you to join our funeral team as the first point of contact for families during a difficult time. You will care for the deceased with dignity, oversee preparation and presentation, and work with colleagues to deliver the highest standards of professional service.

The role requires a full UK manual driving licence, willingness to participate in standby/on-call rota, and compliance with the DBS checks introduced for new joiners from 1 December 2023.

Qualifications

• Physical ability to lift and transfer the deceased person in our care.
• Full UK Manual driving licence (valid for driving manual and automatic vehicles).
• Willingness to participate in Standby and On-Call rota.

Responsibilities

• Look after the preparation and presentation of the person who has passed away, with dignity and respect.
• Be the families’ first point of contact at the scene and provide compassionate, professional support.
• Participate in Standby and On-Call rota and assist with transfers using Society vehicles.
